General
Well this is the last of my 10 route cards. Many thanks again. A bit harder
than the first competition, but that is how I like it. 12 was a bit nasty for the
non IT competitors and probably for some of the IT competitors! Cheers,
(Mitch Fielding)
Many thanks for another head scratching month - very enjoyable/frustrating/head
banging/intriguing/etc.
(Mick Lowe)
Please amend the form so that you are not prompted in an answer box by all the
answers that have previously been input there - this is really annoying! [Not
guilty! Switch off the AutoComplete feature in your browser.)
(Malcolm Heymer)
Thanks for setting the event. I really enjoyed what was my first tabletop, and
look forward to Round 3.
(Gareth Lewis)
Great fun but time again a problem. Look forward to the next.
(Tim Hare)
Definitely a tough one this!
(Steve Skepper)
I have found the Cloverleaf very demanding and time consuming! However it is rather reassuring that perhaps others are also finding this one
quite difficult, judging by the low number of answers which have been submitted to date. Then again I am sure the "experts" will come in with
a rash of late answers.
I suspect though that some people are making a guess as to this being the toughest of the four events and perhaps not giving it the usual
effort. Then hoping to rely on events 1, 3 and 4 to make up their 3 out of 4 events which count.
(Clive Hodgson)
Well, I didn't do too well did I!!. I plead lack of time; too much holiday, beer, sun and Greek wine; and insanity brought on by squinting too long at maps through a magnifying lens!
Sorry I didn't do it justice this time - but it was hard wasn't it! I promise I'll try harder next time.
(Alan Crabtree)
Thanks for an extremely difficult but very satisfying (once you get it)
event.
(Francis Tindall)
Route Card 1
Took me a while to find the start, then I had to watch out for the animals!
(Clive Hodgson)
This is one hard rally!
(Sarah Talbot)
Nice route once you spot the start - I was looking at the blue ducks as well, and at
Mrs Tiggywinkles hospital - Spotted Woburn as well but didn't initially see what was
going on!
(Ian Buxton)
Route Card 2
These answers are a bit of a guess ... I really don't like herringbones! I was OK
for about 20 junctions then kept losing it. Tried it from the finish backwards but
could not make much progress that way either!
(Clive Hodgson)
I like the fact that the diagram orientations actually match the 'herringbone' orientation in the title...
meant I didn't actually have to try multiple permutations!
(Ian Buxton)
Route Card 3
Quite strange doing this section, I was plotting on the bus on the way home from
work and parts of the route are actually my bus route!
(Ian Buxton)
Just so as you know I spotted it, and knowing what a crafty old Crow you are, the route does actually cross the first
"7" on 3 separate, but consecutive occasions, but I interpreted your answer in QA's to mean that you only needed the
number once.
(Alan Crabtree)
Route Card 4
First part of this had me going for a long time. The last part was undetectable when
I printed the PDF version but all became very clear when I printed the HTML version.
(Steve Barber)
There's lies, damned lies and answers to your Table Top Rallies !
(Stephen Daniel)
Not a clue what this is about - here are some guess answers in the hope of picking
up a point or two.
(Jeremy Rodgers)
You will see that I lost it on the binary (grid square exits?) sequence so headed
for home by the shortest route from Tythrop Ho. rather than go round Bledlow and the hills. Now my Sunday supper is
ready. See ya!
(Peter Robertson)
Hardest TT I've ever done on about 5 years playing the game!
(Sarah Talbot)
Route Card 5
Running out of time now with this. Got the last bit easy enough but could not
crack the rest of it so a bit of guess
work. I Don't expect too much out of this one.
(Steve Barber)
And again... Not a clue what this is about - here are some guess answers in the hope
of picking up a point or two.
(Jeremy Rodgers)
I hope again
(Tim Hare)
Route Card 6
Pure Guesswork !
(Stephen Daniel)
Took me ages to suss what the < and > were.
(Mike Biss)
And one last time... Not a clue what this is about - here are some guess answers in
the hope of picking up a point or two.
(Jeremy Rodgers)
Route Card 7
Hi got started on time this time! BUT!! have found the start of 1 and so far only
managed to complete this one! Brain is definitely out of gear!! hopefully more will follow!
(Carol Moulton)
Looked puzzling at first, then had a bit of inspiration. Unfortunately I'm going
need a lot more for the other Route Cards!
(Clive Hodgson)
A relatively easy one!
(Jeremy Rodgers)
Nice 'obvious' one to get started (especially after the last round!)
(Ian Buxton)
Route Card 8
Saw what was going on fairly early with this one, but it took me to spot the
missing 'r' in the title to help plot it
correctly!
(Ian Buxton)
Route Card 9
This one's hard going! lack of concentration time is my enemy but I hope
to manage a few more by the weekend! can do bits but not enuff!!
(Carol Moulton)
Hey! One I could do - I never was good at anagrams.
(Jeremy Rodgers)
Route Card 10
Another nice one.
(Jeremy Rodgers)
Another one that seemed fairly easy to get started on, using the 'extra' 100km
digits. Hope I got the shortest route though!
(Ian Buxton)
The navigation seemed a bit iffy when you came back into Amersham.
(Mike Biss)
Please ignore previous Form for Route Card 10. I accidentally pressed return after
the first answer! (Unfortunately at work we use return as well as tab to get from
field to field and since I tend to use return I am having to use great restraint
not to continue the habit on these forms!)
(Mitch Fielding)
Route Card 11
This one took me ages! Not helped by the fact that I approached TC11B from the
opposite direction!
(Steve Skepper)
Hardest rally I've ever tried!!
(Sarah Talbot)
Thanks for the event so far - have just got the entry list so hopefully can do RC4.
(Mick Lowe)
Only just managed to make this fit - still not totally convinced...
(Ian Buxton)
I hope again again
(Tim Hare)
Route Card 12
Hope I ansi'd these correctly!
(Francis Tindall)
That is all for now. Last one will be sent in tomorrow if I don't get run over
by a bus!
(Mitch Fielding)
Well that was a rather last minute revelation - I'd been looking at it for ages and it was only when I thought I'd
better start guessing some answers that I spotted 'Ansi' the following... !
(Ian Buxton)
