Opinion seemed to settle on the Breckland being easier than the the Five Diamonds or the Cloverleaf, but it was a lot harder to mark. There were many intentional and unintentional traps and this is reflected in the scores. In particular there were devious shorter routes on RC1 and RC3 which upset the form book a little. Plus we seem have ended up with many ties, resolved by furthest cleanest. Due to the difficulty in marking, please study the solutions and your scores, and let me know if you think I have unfairly penalised you in any way. The results are provisional pending arbitration on your comments, which should reach me by September 12th. I'll finalise shortly afterwards. There was a clear winner with Ian Buxton scoring a massive 99 points, with Steve Barber, Malcolm Heymer and David Bell three points adrift and separated by the tie-decider. The Championship won't be settled until the final event with David Bell, Mike Biss, Peter Robertson, Peter Smith, Malcolm Heymer and Ian Buxton all still in contention to be 2003 Champion. Take it easy for a month and come refreshed on October 5th for the Rally Round. "Crow" September 15, 2003
