Internet Table-Top Rally Championship 2004-2005
Round 2 - Cloverleaf Rally
Results Commentary

The Cloverleaf Results are now final.

These have taken longer to produce than I had hoped, due to the interference of marriage (thank you for the many good wishes I received), a flood of answers in the final two days, and some difficult marking to cater for your alternative interpretation of Route Cards and subsequent routes. As ever I have been generous with the marking, particularly where you provided reasoned arguments for your solutions - thus, some of the acceptable answers have more than one value. I've provided detailed solutions if some of the sections were beyond you.

The links above will take you to the Cloverleaf pages. From the Results Table page you will also be able to download a spreadsheet of all the answers and marks. Please do that to check that I have received and marked your answers correctly. I'll keep the results provisional pending any problems you report and will declare them final around 22:00 on December 14, 2004.

My congratulations to Mitch Fielding, Alan Crabtree and Gavin Rogers in the Masters event - new faces on this year's podium. Mitch just shaded it on 96 points, with Alan and Gavin a point behind and only separable by "furthest cleanest". The upshot is that the Masters Championship is now wide open with Mitch Fielding just ahead of Steve Barber and Ian Buxton - the Five Diamonds winner.

The Experts event, was just as tight, with Keith Cunningham the winner on 45 points. A point behind is the Five Diamonds champ, Paul Taylor, then Dee Rampling Lee another point away in 3rd.
Championship-wise Paul Taylor heads Dee Rampling Lee and Keith Cunningham.

Have a great festive break and I'll see you Navigationally again in January for the Breckland Rally.
