No road exists that can cross a Northing 15 and later 13 without having to cross the 14, so I reckon it was an error.
Q4: Tricky. As the route starts from a NTR the OOY may be construed as not being a junction. However, in this case I am faced with a choice between O or Y so I reckon that makes it a junction. If you disagree then the J-W would be YYW.
Q9: There's a + in Standish near the finish which I reckon is 200,5m away from the route!! If you think it warrants inclusion then I'd go for 3 | 33 | Steve Turnbull | X | 10 | 0 | 1 | 33 | 23 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 4 | 5510 | | 36 | Chris Towers | X | 10 | 2 | 15 | 3 | 16 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 5510 | rc9 includes 1 at 523094 | 41 | David Smoley | X | 10 | 0 | 1 | 22 | 12 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 5510 | | 42 | Mike Biss | X | 9 | 0 | 22 | 52 | 6 | 5 | 1 | 0 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 5510 | Q9) Church at 561.75 100.75 taken as within 200m. | 43 | Francis Tindall | X | 10 | 0 | 5 | 51 | 33 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 5510 | | 45 | Geoff Masterman | X | 10 | 0 | 4 | 15 | 20 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 4 | 5510 | | 46 | Alan Crabtree | X | 10 | 0 | 4 | 26 | 51 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 5510 |
Finally maxed another one! - but only after very careful checking! My first answers would have given me only 7, but close inspection revealed two errors in my route, and one in my counting (a church as usual!). Antonine Wall was a bit confusing - it was started in 142 and took 12 years so should be 154, however it had to be 144 to get the plot to work - only then that I was confident enough to put the date in to wiki and see what it had for that year... | 88 | Tony Field | X | 0 | 3 | 20 | 46 | 19 | | | | | | | | | | | | 91 | Nigel Parish | X | 8 | 0 | 2 | 16 | 30 | 5 | 1 | 1 | 5515 | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 5510 | | 99 | Paul Taylor | X | 10 | 0 | 6 | 34 | 19 | 5 | 1 | 1 | yyy | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 5510 | | 107 | Peter Johnstone | X | 7 | 5 | 0 | 2 | 30 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5211 | 3 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 5510 | | 108 | John Elkin | X | 8 | 0 | 1 | 57 | 19 | 5 | 1 | 1 | YYY | 5310 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 5510 |

There are two possible routes, one via 477148 and the other via 475146. There is hardly anything to choose between them using the shortest route criteria. If 477148 is correct then the answer to Route check 3 is 0. If 475146 is correct then the answer to Route Check 3 is 1. On balance, the latter route might JUST be a tad shorter so I have answered 1 but there is room for doubt. | 135 | David Bell | X | 7 | 0 | 6 | 13 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 1 | WWW | 5211 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 5510 | RC9 - Does NOT include the two that may be on the edge of the 200m - GS 5209 (over the railway bridge) - GS 5610 (near the finish) | 137 | David Leavy | X | 0 | 0 | 2 | 4 | 47 | Replace with Answer 1 | Replace with Answer 2 | Replace with Answer 3 | Replace with Answer 4 | Replace with Answer 5 | Replace with Answer 6 | Replace with Answer 7 | Replace with Answer 8 | Replace with Answer 9 | Replace with Answer 10 |
