Comments
> Had to allow two possible sets of answers for this. My intended finish was at 120 519.5 (TC1B) - route A - for a short link to TC2A. However a longer - route B - left you with a route clash for Route Card 2. You were marked according to A or B, whichever gave you the best score.
> Two values were allowed for 9) depending on whether you believe the road crossed the grid line on the W through Edderside.
> Poorest answered. Many missed spot heights.

Comments
> The best way to solve this was to draw an Eastings/Northings grid on some tracing paper, plot the references and directions, and then try to fit the tracing to the map. Get the reference for the true origin,  recalulate the map references and then plot accurately on the map.

> RC10 was difficult to mark because of the bridge in 2147. Is it two bridges or one long one? It two, you should use the white through Barugh; if one, you should not. I allowed both.

The first digit of the decimal number indicated the direction of leaving a kilometre square, where 1 = South, 2= West, 3 = East, 4 = North. The decimal part was the distance along or above the axis of the grid line where you left the square.

Comments
> The intention was for you to depart TC10A to the SSW after a short link from TC9B. However, if you tackled this Route Card before RC9, the shortest route to the first map bit (MB) would have taken you NNE. This had no effect on the required answers though.
> Two answers allowed for RC7 since it was debatable whether the green circle at the junction in 3846 was on the route.
> Two answers allowed for RC4 since a temporary "Update" misdefined a Bridge Over.
> Several competitors choses a longer route via Stockwell Hall rather than via Sebergham.
> Several missed the blue "Beck".
