The report and final placings in the 1995/1996 Championship.

The season draws to a close once more and it is pleasing to announce that we have a new name to add to the list of champions. After some splendidly consistent results over the years MALCOLM PRICE has finally reached the top of the tree! Well done Malcolm, only the fourth person to carry off the crown in the nine years that the Championship has been running.

Roger Lintott as runner-up, Colin Hensman in third place, Martin Rea fifth and Ted Manktelow sixth each drop one place from last season. By taking fourth place "Crow" has returned to the top ten for the first time in five years, Dave Bell and Howard Simpson also return to the top ten after a gap of three years in seventh and ninth respectively. Finally Gillian Goodlass (8th) and William Lynch (10th) are into the top ten for the first time.

No less than fifteen competitors qualified for the Loyalty Award which this season has fallen to Alan Crabtree, so Alan obtains a free entry (excluding maps) to each of the 1996-1997 events. The two runners-up gaining free entry (excluding map) to one event of their choice for next season are Donald Bradbury and Godfrey Nunn.

Well done and many thanks to everyone that takes the time and trouble to enter these events - we note once again the dwindling numbers borne out by the fact that this year only 45 figure in the final Championship table below.
