Postal Championship 1997/1998
Events

PATHFINDER

The event, promoted by Cheltenham Motor Club, is changing to the popular roadbook format this year, having enlisted Ray Crowther's considerable expertise (remember the RALLY ROUNDs?). All 22 routecards must be completed and the organisers promise plenty of brand new navigational ideas. Using OS map 193 (Taunton & Lyme Regis) obviously supplied by the organisers, the event will run from 1st to 28th September, 1997 and Regulations will be sent out with the '97/98 Championship Regs and can be obtained directly from crow@paysense.demon.co.uk.

NELLY

Promoted by CSMA (North East London Group) now in it's 17th year - with the same organising team! The 'Question and Answer' format continues to be popular, so no changes. Map 188 B2 (Maidstone). FULL (qualifying for the Championship) and the MINOR for the inexperienced and those wishing to learn - each with extensive awards and cash. Choice of sections to be attempted to ease the pressure. Regs available at the end of August from Brian Bishop, 17 Postwood Green, Hertford Heath, Herts, SG13 7QJ. Entries closes 9th October, event runs from 16th October to 11th December, 1997 allowing the usual usual break to concentrate on the RAC Rally.

LANGER PARK

The LANGER PARK NATIONAL is promoted by Eastern Counties MC for the thirteenth consecutive year with generous support from LANGER PARK SERVICES and RALLY NAVIGATION SERVICES. Introduced four years ago, our roadbook format is the foremost in route presentation, although we offer the complete map facility should you prefer. This season's event is once again asking competitors to complete 18 sections from 25, using OS map 119 (Buxton, Matlock & Dove Dale) supplied by the organisers. Running for five weeks from 11th December, 1997 to 15th January, 1998. Regs will be available in early November from Maurice Pinner, 23 Rosecroft Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 6AP (Tel. 01473 740586).

CULTIVATOR

The CSMA Ipswich Group present their twentieth CULTIVATOR Table Top from Tuesday 10th February, 1998 to Tuesday 10th March, 1998. The event will retain it's question and answer format of previous years and competitors will have a choice over the routecards they complete. For those new to table tops, we will be running our separate Beginners event with it's instructional routecards. The event will run on OS map 108 (Market Weighton & surrounding area). Regs will be available in early January from Bob Thomas, 1 St Mary's Close, Trimley St Mary, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP11 0TY (Tel. 01394 285206).
