Route Card 5 - Board Bits

Plotting limits: PDF Map

Footpaths (dotted red lines) can be used.
Count each "square" on the route as one unit and each footpath on the route as one unit.
When counting units, ignore chequered squares.

Part 1 (Masters, Experts and Novices)

I don't think you liked this one! But this is the Rally Round Rally, so there had to be one route card set on the actual game board. Some of you didn't treat the bits the same as you would map bits in previous rounds i.e. if a road (in this case a square) is shown you use it. That meant on pics one and three you had to use the grey square. If you didn't it affected answers to RC1 and RC5. Also, pic 12 showed a bit of white background on the Z in the red square when it should have been an all red background. However, if you got this far, I dont think it affected your answer. Finally the 6th pic had letter D on it, which wasn't on your board. Apologies for this error. This gave rise to two possible routes so
RC1) answers for the number of hazards was accepted as 5 or 4, and
RC3) number of "yellow" squares as 28 or 27.
