The instruction for part 2 'in sequence when plotted' is a bit obscure. Did you mean start from plot 1 or start from plot 5,which is nearest to the section start, and then to finish at plot 4 which is the shorter route.Both are in sequence so technicaly correct. This I found to be a very difficult section to fathom and then to be faced with this question is a bit dubious. Due to the difficulty of the section this ahould have been made a bit clearer as both routes are correct to the instuctions. | 110 | Brian Johnson | M | 2 | 8 | 1 | 21 | 36 | p,e,s,m,w,e,m,a,t | 4 | 2 | 3 | 5 | Replace with Answer 6 | Replace with Answer 7 | Replace with Answer 8 | Replace with Answer 9 | Replace with Answer 10 | | 111 | Clive Hodgson | E | 2 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 54 | k,b,a,n,i,d,g,e,e,p,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 2 | 7 | 8 | | | | | | | 115 | Geoff Masterman | E | 3 | 0 | 0 | 42 | 7 | e,p,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 2 | 3 | 6 | | | | | | | 119 | Martin Moore | E | 2 | 0 | 0 | 22 | 43 | bk,ep,s,mw,ta | 3 | 2 | 4 | 5 | | | | | | | 121 | Arwel Jones | N | 3 | 0 | 0 | 23 | 15 | ighpesmwta | 4 | 2 | 5 | 7 | | | | | | | 122 | Steve Turnbull | E | 5 | 0 | 0 | 28 | 12 | p,e,s,m,w,a,t | 4 | 2 | 4 | 7 | | | | | | | 124 | Martin Dewey | N | 4 | 0 | 0 | 19 | 40 | e,p,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 2 | 4 | 4 | | | | | | | 126 | Steve Barber | M | 10 | 0 | 1 | 16 | 32 | p,e,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 1 | 4 | 7 | 4 | 5 | 7 | 3 | 3 | RC1. order of p,e and t,a may be reversed

This gives me RC1 - e,p, from Gawthorpe, s, then m,w, from Cowmes and t,a from Kirkheaton. RC3 - T at 179126.5 is dead on 200m from the White I've used so I've included it. RC4 - 4 including the one leading to the last plot. RC5 - 4 in first complex of Whites, 2 on next Whites and 1 near to second plot. Part 2 - Shortest route I measured to be NW 168154.75 SE using the Whites both sides and joining the Yellow in between 2 gradient arrows just before the second plot. So I have RC7 - 5 and RC9 - 4 | 151 | Catherine Buck | E | 2 | 0 | 0 | 18 | 21 | P,H,p,e,s,m,w,a,t | 4 | 1 | 5 | 5 | | | | | | | 156 | Robert Owen | M | 5 | 2 | 3 | 12 | 30 | p,e,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 1 | 4 | 7 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | General: Have taken first white off yellow in GS1712. GENERAL I have assumed that the Masters section starts with the first digit of the first plot being in the first code and the first digit of the second plot being in the second code, etc. so that the given map reference is the fifth plot. | 196 | Alan Large | E | 4 | 0 | 0 | 56 | 42 | p,e,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 2 | 4 | 5 | | | | | | | 198 | Bernie McEneany | E | 4 | 0 | 0 | 39 | 23 | epmwta | 4 | 1 | 4 | 7 | | | | | | | 201 | Mark Dunkerley | N | 2 | 0 | 1 | 31 | 6 | p,e,s,m,w,t,a | 2 | 1 | 2 | 2 | | | | | | | 205 | Tim Hassall | E | 5 | 0 | 1 | 32 | 8 | e,p,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 2 | 4 | 7 | | | | | | RC1 - e judged to be encountered before p in Gawthorpe when travelling northwards in GS1916

Shortest route in 1712 very close. My route just stays 200m away from the T. Other route would mean RC3=2, RC5=5.
RC8 - last crossing only just before finish but counted. | 233 | Dee Rampling Lee | E | 5 | 0 | 1 | 8 | 15 | e,p,s,m,w,t,a | 4 | 1 | 4 | 7 | | | | | | Q1. The lowercase letters tr of Highburton do not break the line. It is a road junction that causes the line to be broken. I have listed "ep" rather than "pe" of Grawthorpe as the "e" breaks the line on the road before the "p" from the junction of the crossroads. I have pout the "ta" of Kirkheaton the same way round and not "at" for the same reason.

I cannot get my head round decoding the GR's for Part 2, but only hit a mental block, so I'll go with the answers I have for Part 1 and go for some well earned rest.
