Aah, the beloved tulip test. You either love them or hate them and, in
general, I think you love them. Lots of good scores on this one. As hinted in the title, the ?s all represented crossroads, the number of
them making part 2 a greater challenge.
There was a missing instruction in part 1 where the OOW junction in 0592 was
omitted but it didn't seem to trouble anyone.
There was one missing tulip in part 2 but it was immediately before one of
the ? crossroads so there was little doubt which way was correct. There were
claims of other "missing" tulips but on close checking these were not missing as
they involved NTRs.
RC5 - I do wish spot heights were clear on OS maps, or is that supposed to be
part of the fun? Like most of you, I think there was a spot for SH86, but it
caused some debate, as did the iffy spot at SH43, leading some of you back to
the very definite spot at SH146. In the end, all three answers were accepted.
