The clue was in the title.
Not only were there 19 questions, but you had to exclude the digits "19" from the answer.
Most were just "years" starting with 19, but 3 were not, and required you to strip out the digits 1 and 9 from the answer.
The answers were:
1 = 1987, 2 = 1968, 3 = 1979, 4 = 1967, 5 = 1948, 6 = 1942, 7 = 1938, 8 = 1592 (strip out the 1 and 9 to leave 52), 9 = 1939, 10 = 1941, 11 = 1292 (strip out the 1 and 9 to leave 22), 12 = 1927, 13 = 1938, 14 = 1928, 15 = 1949, 16 = 1957, 17 = 1957, 18 = 1597 (strip out the 1 and 9 to leave 57), 19 = 1951).
Unfortunately, when originally published, the question for Q1 was stated incorrectly as it was missing a word on the end ... should have been "Carlos Sainz wins his first WRC rally stage".
At the time, we were considering displaying the question as "Carlos Sainz wins his first WRC rally ..." ie using "dots".
In the end, this latter option was considered a bit obtuse, but sadly the question was not corrected.
Apologies to you all for spoiling what was essentially an interesting Route Card.
As if this wasn't enough, the left-hand boundary of the map was the specified incorrectly.
It was intended to exclude the left hand quarter of Easting Squares "09" to prevent use of the yellow junction to the W of Edgefield.
These resulted in the Route Card becoming a "ReDo" which meant that most of you cleaned it in the end!
