Route Card Commentary
|
Part 1 - 10 references to plot between TC1 and TC2 all to be done on the
Display Map and then take the shortest route in between.
Part 2 - 10 coded references to plot, out of order but with approach and depart
directions for most of them and a clear finish at the end of a Yellow. The code
used was c=1, h=2, ..., z=0 from Schoolfrenz. Some of the references had 4
possible plots, but in all cases only one of them should have plotted on a road.
I think a couple of Masters missed the CRO instruction which would have made
their plotting a lot more difficult. My interpretation of a very slight bend in
the road at point 8 being ENE ... W when E ... W might have been more accurate caused a
few comments but I hope it didn't spoilt the
enjoyment.
The other cause for concern is the low scoring by the Masters on Part 2 so I
look forward to seeing if anyone has found a shorter route than my one! If there
is one, or one pretty much the same distance, then the answers will be updated
accordingly.
RC2 - One GC at 2944 0967 only covers 95% of the road so 2 answers were allowed.
RC4 - Difficult to see if the White under the Viewpoint by Edburton Hill crosses
GL11 so 2 answers were allowed.
RC6 - Ambiguous P of Portslade Village, but the rest were ok, and THE CITY OF
was missing from the PDF map.
RC7, RC10 - Some people argued that the Yellow under the Railway at 3010 0638
might be NTR so I allowed 2 answers for both of these.
